How Do Our Cross-Island Tours Work?
Next Journey specializes in seamless one-way travel across Java and Bali. Whether you start in Yogyakarta and end in Bali, or start in Bali and end in Yogyakarta, we handle the logistics. Our most popular routes include pick-ups from Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, or Probolinggo, with convenient drop-offs at your next destination.
Multi-Day Adventures vs. Day Trips
We offer two main types of experiences.
Multi-Day Adventures (2D1N to 4D3N): Perfect for thrill-seekers. Combine the majestic Tumpak Sewu waterfall, the sunrise at Mount Bromo, and the rare blue fire of Ijen Crater in one epic journey.
Day Trips: Ideal for cultural immersion. Explore the sunrise at Borobudur and Prambanan temples, descend into the Jomblang Cave, or discover the hidden waterfalls and water palaces of East and North Bali.
What is the Best Season to Travel?
The dry season from April to October is the main window, with temperatures around 28°C in the lowlands, little rain, and calm seas. July and August attract the most visitors to Bromo, Ijen, and Bali. We highly recommend booking your multi-day tours 6 to 8 months in advance for these peak months. The rainy season (November to March) does not prevent travel but requires flexibility, as afternoon showers are common.
