From PROBOLINGGO: 3D2N Tumpak Sewu - Bromo - Ijen Tour, drop-off BALI

3 days

Easy

Embark on a thrilling 3-day quest through East Java's wild wonders - from plunging into Tumpak Sewu’s mist, chasing sunrise atop Mount Bromo, to midnight hikes for Ijen’s blue fire - before landing on Bali’s legendary shores.

Maximize your time in Indonesia with this action-packed 3-Day, 2-Night (3D2N) expedition. Designed for travelers looking to experience East Java's top three natural wonders before relaxing on the Island of the Gods, this route offers a perfectly paced overland journey from Surabaya or Malang straight through to Bali.

Your journey begins with a morning pickup in Malang. From there, you will drive into the lush highlands to visit the breathtaking Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Often hailed as the "Niagara of Indonesia," this massive, multi-tiered waterfall drops beautifully into a deep green amphitheater. You will trek down into the ravine, crossing bamboo bridges and small streams, to feel the raw power of the cascades from the valley floor. Afterward, you will travel to your accommodation near Mount Bromo to rest for the night.

Wake up early for the iconic Mount Bromo Sunrise experience. Traveling by 4WD Jeep under the cover of darkness, you will reach a scenic viewpoint just in time to watch the sun rise over the sweeping Tengger Caldera. After the sunrise, your Jeep will cross the vast, ash-covered Sea of Sand before you climb the stairs to the rim of Bromo's active smoking crater. Once the morning's adventure wraps up, you will journey eastward to the Banyuwangi or Bondowoso area to check into your next accommodation and rest up for the final trek.

Your final day begins with an otherworldly night trek at Mount Ijen. Waking up around midnight, you will hike up the volcano under a starlit sky to witness the rare natural phenomenon of the Ijen Blue Fire ignited sulfuric gas burning brilliantly in the dark. As dawn breaks, you will be rewarded with views of the world's largest highly acidic crater lake, boasting a vibrant turquoise color that contrasts beautifully with the yellow sulfur rocks.

After descending Ijen and catching your breath, the Kymawari Alam Journey team will transfer you to the Ketapang ferry port. You will cross the Bali Strait and continue by car to your final drop-off point in Bali (such as Ubud, Sanur, Kuta, Canggu, or Denpasar), concluding an unforgettable 3-day adventure.
